سلاح های شیمایی از گذشته تا کنون

طی قرن گذشته بعد از پایان هر جنگی دولت های فاتح گرد هم می آمدند و با تدوین قوانین جدیدی در غالب کنوانسیون های متفاوت به زعم خودشان سعی می کردند جنگ های آینده را انسانی تر کنند. اما همواره در جنگ های بعدی نیز متجاوزان کوچکترین وقعی به این قوانین نمی نهاده اند و در عمل از این کنوانسیون ها در جهت اعمال فشار بیشتر بر کشورهای مورد تجاوز استفاده می کردند. استفاده مکرر از سلاح های شیمیایی طی جنگ های قرن اخیر گواه این امر است که وجود کنوانسیون های بین المللی هیچگاه مانع استفاده کشورهای متجاوز از این سلاح های مخرب نشده است. سلاح های شیمیایی از وحشیانه ترین ابزاری هستند که بشر در جنگ بر علیه همنوعانش استفاده کرده است. اگر چه تاریخ استفاده از این سلاح ها به تاریخ جنگ های بشر باز می گردد ولی بشر متمدن نیز هیچگاه در استفاده از این سلاح ها بخود تردید راه نداده است.

بطور کلی سلاح های شیمیائی به کلیه عواملی اطلاق می شود که اثرات مستقیم سمی برای انسان، حیوانات یا گیاهان دارند. گاهی اوقات به این ترکیبات «گازهای جنگی» نیز می گویند حتی اگر چه این ترکیبات مایع و یا جامد نیز باشند. اثرات سمی این ترکیبات ممکن است موقتی یا دائمی باشد و شدت اثرات آنها ممکن است از تحریک موقتی چشم تا آسیب های شدید منجر به مرگ باشد. در تاریخ جنگ های اخیر دنیا، کاربرد این سلاح ها در جنگ جهانی اول از سیاهترین برگ های تاریخ بشر متمدن است.

با این وجود از آنجا که وجود سلاح های شیمیایی هیچگاه یک تهدید جدی بر علیه ابر قدرت ها نبوده است این کشورها با خلع سلاح شیمیائی بصورت جدی برخورد نکرده اند.

ارتش انگلیس در سال 1894 در منطقه سباستوپول در جنگ های کرایمه اولین بار گاز تهوع آور گوگرد را به عنوان سلاح شیمیائی استفاده کرد که البته چندان هم موثر نبود. اسید پیکریک در سال های 1902ـ1899 به عنوان سلاح مورد استفاده قرار گرفت ولی اوج کاربرد سلاح های شیمیائی در جنگ جهانی اول طی سال های 1918ـ1914 بود. در این جنگ حدود یکصدهزار نفر بر اثر استفاده از سلاح های شیمیائی کشته و یک میلیون و دویست هزار نفر مجروح شدند.

طی جنگ جهانی اول در بعدازظهر 27 آوریل 1915 نیروهای آلمانی گاز سبز رنگی را به طرف نیروهای بلژیکی مستقر در شهر ایپر پرتاب کردند.

 این حمله که با گاز کلر انجام شده بود منجر به مرگ پنج هزار نفر سرباز بلژیکی و نیروهای متحدین شد. این نیروها در آن زمان هیچگونه ماسک و یا وسایل دفاعی علیه جنگ شیمیایی نداشتند. برای این حمله ارتش آلمان از شش هزار کپسول حاوی گاز استفاده کرده بود. در دسامبر 1915 نیروهای آلمانی اولین حمله خود با گاز فسژن را انجام دادند و بعدها در 12 جولای 1917 گاز خردل را به عنوان سلاح شیمیائی در منطقه ایپر مورد استفاده قرار دادند. در همان سال هم اولین ماسک دفاعی بر علیه سلاح های شیمیائی توسط یکی از دانشمندان انگلیسی بنام فریتز هابر ساخته شد.

آهن ربا چیست؟ 

آهن ربا را به عربی، مغناطیس و به انگلیسی مگنت می گویند. اکنون ببینیم چرا این واژه ها را برای آهن ربا برگزیده اند. شاید دلیلش این بوده که می گویند در روزگار قدیم چوپانی می زیست به نام مگنس که او گوسفندهای خود را در کوه« ایدا» به چرا می برد. روزی، ناگهان متوجه شد که عصای آهنین و میخ های کفشش به سنگ بزرگ و سیاهی چسبیده است.

بله، کشف سنگ هایی که آهن را به خود جذب می کردند، سرآغاز کشف آهن ربا یا مغناطیس بود. این گونه سنگ های اسرارآمیز در نزدیکی محلی به نام مگنزیا در آسیای صغیر نیز یافت می شدند. به هر حال شاید به این دلایل بود که نام آهن ربا را مگنت یا مغناطیس نهادند.

همچنان که زمان به پیش می رفت بشر چیزهای بیشتری درباره ی آهن ربا کشف نمود. از باب مثال، او دید که چون قطعه آهنی را به «سنگ شهای آهن ربایی» می مالند، آن آهن نیز خاصیت آهن ربایی پیدا می کند. همچنین بشر هزاران سال پیش دریافت که آهن ربای آویزان و معلق در هوا، خود به خود تقریباً رو به سمت شمال می ایستد. اختراع قطب نما از همین جا به وقوع پیوست. آن گاه سنگ های آهنربایی را به نام سنگ راهنما خواندند، چه آدم های سرگردان به کمک این سنگ ها راهنمایی می شدند.

ستاره‌بینی٬ اَختَربینی یا تَنجیم بررسی رابطه زادروز افراد و ویژگیهای شخصیتی آن‌ها از طریق ارتباط دادن آن به اجرام آسمانی می‌‌باشد. در این شبه علم با محاسبه نموداری موسوم به زایچه که نحوه قرارگیری خورشید و سیارات در صورت‌های فلکی را در زمان زایش فرد نشان می‌‌دهد، سعی بر پیش‌گویی سرنوشت و ویژگی‌های اخلاقی فرد می‌شود. کتاب‌های عامه‌پسند بسیاری در این زمینه نوشته شده است از قبیل طالع‌بینی و غیره. به عقیده کارل گوستاو یونگ بخش قابل ملاحظه‌ای از ستاره‌بینی (طالع‌بینی) بر پایه فرافکنی‌های ناخودآگاهانه و احتمالاٌ هم‌زمان‌انگاری تصاویر بسیار عاطفی در آسمان شب بوده است.

اخترشناسی

اخترشناسی یا نجوم بخشی از دانش فیزیک است که به بررسی و روشنگری دربارهٔ رویدادهای بیرون از کرهٔ زمین و جو آن می‌پردازد. این دانش به مطالعهٔ خاستگاه، فرگشت (تکامل)، و ویژگی‌های فیزیکی و شیمیایی پیکره‌هایی که در آسمان رصد می‌شوند (و فرای زمین قرار دارند) پرداخته و فرآیندهایی که با آنها پیوند دارند را می‌پژوهد.
