nanotubes  base/silica  composite

Abstract

A  cationic  dye,  such  as  methylene  blue  (MB),  was  adsorbed  from  water  by  using  polyaniline  nanotubes (PANI  NTs)  base/silica  composite  as  adsorbent.  Experiments  were  conducted  by  using  the  UV–visible spectroscopy  and  by  varying  parameters  namely:  initial  concentration  of  MB  and  contact  time.  The percentage  of  color  removal  decreased  with  increase  of  initial  dye  concentration.  Equilibrium  data  were fit  to  Langmuir  isotherm.  The  Langmuir  isotherm  fits  best  the  MB  adsorption  data  on  PANI  NTs  base/silica composite.

The  kinetic  models:  pseudo  first  order,  pseudo-second  order  and  the  intraparticle  diffusion  models were  applied  to  the  experimental  data.  It  was  observed  that  pseudo-second  order  kinetic  model described  the  adsorption  process  better  than  any  other  kinetic  models.  Results  obtained  indicate  that PANI  NTs  base/silica  composite  could  be  employed  as  an  efficient  adsorbent  much  more  than  the conventional  PANI  base/silica  composite  powder  for  dye  uptake.

مطالعات سینتیک و ایزوترم جذب متیلن آبی بر روی ترکیب نانولوله­های پلی آنیلین پایه/ اکسید سیلیسیوم

چکیده

یک رنگینه کاتیونی مانند متیلن آبی (MB)از آب با ترکیب نانولوله­های پلی­آنیلین پایه/ اکسید سیلیسیوم به عنوان جاذب جذب شده است. آزمایش با استفاده از طیف سنجی UV-مرئی و پارامترهای مختلف نظیر غلظت اولیه MB و زمان تماس انجام شد. درصد حذف رنگ با افزایش غلظت رنگ اولیه کاهش یافته است. داده های تعادل با ایزوترم لانگمویر متناسب بودند. ایزوترم لانگمور متناسب با بهترین داده های جذب MB در ترکیب نانولوله­های پلی­آنیلین پایه/ اکسید سیلیسیوم است.

مدل­های سینتیکی: شبه مرتبه اول، شبه مرتبه دوم و مدل های نفوذ درون ذره ای به داده های تجربی استفاده شد. مشاهده شد که مدل سینتیکی شبه مرتبه دوم فرایند جذب را بهتر از هر مدل سینتیکی دیگر شرح داده شده است. نتایج به دست آمده نشان می­دهد که ترکیب نانولوله­های پلی­آنیلین پایه/ اکسید سیلیسیوم می­تواند به عنوان یک جاذب کارآمد بسیار بیشتر از پودر ترکیب پلی آنیلین پایه/ اکسید سیلیسیوم متعارف برای جذب رنگ استفاده شود.

Steel plate shear walls are lateral load resisting systems, especially against earthquake excitation. They are constructed with or without stiffeners. In contrary to stiffened steel plate shear walls, there are many theoretical and experimental studies on these systems without stiffeners and different analytical methods have been presented for them which are mostly applicable to very thin steel plates shear walls. In this research, two one story similar steel plate shear walls with and without stiffeners and one of their surrounding frames were tested and the behavior of them was studied. The results showed that, installation of stiffeners improved the behavior of the steel plate shear walls. It caused 26% increase in energy dissipation capacity and 51.1% increase in the shear stiffness of steel plate while its effect on the steel plate shear strength was minor. In addition, the Plate-Frame interaction theory (PFI) was verified by using the experimental results and the test results showed that, this theory has good capability for predicting the shear load – displacement curve behavior of steel shear walls with or without stiffeners.
